Program Overview:

  • Fun: Dive into the exciting world of archery!
  • Introduction: Learn the basics of archery in a supportive environment.
  • Safety: Master how to handle a bow and arrow safely.
  • Skills: Get familiar with different types of archery, equipment, and shooting techniques.
  • Scoring: Understand how scoring works.

Who Can Join:

  • Children aged 8-18 years of age and who are strong enough to handle a bow can participate.
  • Parents or guardians must accompany their child at all times. While parents won’t be joining the class, or hitting the range, your presence is essential. And orientation for parents is required.

What You Need:

  • No personal equipment needed. We provide everything required for the lessons.

Lesson Schedule:

  • Duration: 6 weeks
  • Times: Beginners’ classes are available from 5-6 pm, 6-7 pm, and 7-8 pm.
  • Fee: $50 for the entire course. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.
  • Orientation: Mandatory for new archers. A non-refundable $50 payment is required at this session.

Seasonal Sessions:

  • Fall Classes: Begin in November, Mondays and Tuesdays at 5:00 pm. Orientation on a Sunday in November at 6:00 pm.
  • Winter Classes: Start in January, Mondays and Tuesdays at 5:00 pm. Orientation on a Sunday in January at 6:00 pm. (Dates to be confirmed)
  • Spring Classes: Begin in March, Mondays and Tuesdays at 5:00 pm. Orientation in February at 6:00 pm. (Dates to be confirmed)

Weather Policy:

  • If weather conditions are questionable, call Gail Lowe at 845-229-8721 to check class status. Make-up sessions will be available for missed classes due to weather.
