What is 3D Archery
For those new to it, 3D archery is a style of shooting where archers walk through a course set up with foam animal targets and take one shot at each life-sized target. These targets are set up to simulate real hunting situations, including both small and large game. While 3D courses are great to prepare for hunting you do not need to be a hunter to participate.
Our 3D Course
The 3D archery course at Ti Yogi Bowmen is just over two miles long beginning and ending at our outdoor practice range. The course winds through a mix of woods, open fields, and rolling hills. We set out more than 30 targets for each of our monthly 3D shoots, with most of them being Rinehart brand 3D targets and a few Delta McKenzie foam 3D targets. The course offers a wide variety of shot types, including targets in the woods, in open terrain, and from elevated or downhill positions. The majority of the terrain on the course is easy going with one steeper section along the way.
Shooting Distances at Ti Yogi Bowmen
To accommodate everyone from youth shooters to experienced bowhunters, we use a simple stake system to indicate shooting distances. Here’s a breakdown of the stakes you’ll encounter on our course:
- Blue Stakes (Traditional & Youth Shooters): Shots up to 25–30 yards
- Green Stakes (Hunter Level): Shots from 30 to 35 yards
- Red Stakes (Open Class/Top Gun): Shots typically within 50 yards, with some reaching up to 80 yards
There may be a few fun shots outside of the ranges listed above. Shoot from whichever stake feels most comfortable for you. There’s no rush, and we encourage shooters to enjoy the experience at their own pace.
3D Shoot Details
Our 3D shoots run from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM on scheduled shoot days – with the exception of our Zombie Shoot.
Pricing
- Non-members: $15 per shooter
- Members: $10 per shooter
- Youth (ages 12-16): $5 per shooter
- Kids under 12: Free
What to Expect at a Ti Yogi 3D Shoot
We welcome archers from the Hudson Valley and surrounding NY regions as well as archery enthusiasts from New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts and beyond. Be sure to tell your friends and bring them too!
Parking is FREE –
Stop by the pavilion when you arrive to register for the course. Once registered, you may begin the course or stop by the outdoor practice range to warm up.
The Grill is open during our monthly 3D Shoots. Enjoy a delicious breakfast sandwich and hot cup of coffee when you arrive or devour a cheeseburger after you complete the course. Either way, don’t forget to stop by the Grill before you head out.
