About Us

Ti Yogi Bowmen is an archery-dedicated club founded in the 1950s, nestled on 49 acres of beautiful woodland in the Hudson Valley of New York. What began as a simple barn, originally a grain mill has grown into a flourishing archery club serving archers from the Hudson Valley, Catskills, Adirondacks, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and the Southern Tier.

The name Ti Yogi Bowmen has a unique story. One of our founders, Paulana Golden, was an avid Yankees fan who owned an exotic ocelot cat she named “Ti,” after Yankees player Ty Cobb. To complete the club name, she honored Yankees legend Yogi Berra—creating “Ti Yogi Bowmen,” a title that has stood for over half a century.

Over the years, our club has attracted archers of all skill levels and even some remarkable guests. A memorable piece of our history is when Eleanor Roosevelt’s driver, a club member, invited her to our tournaments. Eleanor herself visited the club, presenting awards to competitors and leaving behind a legacy that is still talked about today.

As the years went on, Ti Yogi expanded beyond the barn. An indoor observation room and kitchen were added, and our ranges grew. The field archery course with bale houses was built first, followed later by our extensive 3D archery course—spanning 2.25 miles and featuring 30+ targets from Rinehart and Delta McKenzie. This combination of rich history, scenic grounds, and dedication to the sport has made Ti Yogi Bowmen a true hub for archery in the Hudson Valley and beyond.
